A new year, a new Europe Day! The members of the European Movement and Young Europeans, their local sections and affiliated associations, are mobilising all over France to celebrate peace and unity in Europe, and to liven up the month of May in tribute to the Schuman Declaration of 9 May 1950.
From numerous events are being organised throughout the month to celebrate Europe. They take many forms: conferences and debates, exhibitions, quizzes, screenings, concerts, competitions and much more!
- 9 to 30 May: The City of Paris organises an exhibition at Europa Expérience on the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.
- 10 May : Several of our leading figures will be at the Place de la République in Paris for the Europe Day from 9.30am to 10.30pm Fabienne Keller, Christophe Préault, Bernard Guetta.
- 10 May : The Mouvement Européen - Yvelines is organising a European market with European events and 45 stands, including those of twinned towns and the Maison de l'Europe in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
- 10 May : The European Movement - Yvelines is organising European events and a conference on "European citizenship" in Montigny-le-Bretonneux.
- 13 May : The European Movement - Yvelines is organising a European Day at the Jules Verne secondary school in Les Mureaux.
- 17 May : Les Jeunes Européens - Paris and the Maison de l'Europe will be holding stands from 2pm to 5pm at the Mairie du 11e arrondissement in Paris.
- 24 May : Toute l'Europe organises a mini-conference at Europa Expérience Paris "1 hour to understand Europe from 3pm to 4pm.
- 10 June : The Mouvement Européen - Yvelines is organising a conference on "The ecological transition and the European Union" at 7.30pm at the Hôtel de Ville in Carrières-sous-Poissy.
