Pablo Casals was a cellist, conductor, composer, humanist and fervent defender of freedom and democracy. He is world-famous in the field of music and peace.

The Foundation's mission is to preserve and disseminate the heritage, artistic and human legacy of Pablo Casals, to support young cellists and to develop projects that promote the values that Pablo Casals defended throughout his life in favour of peace, human rights and social commitment.

In these difficult times in which we live, culture in general is one of the most important tools for promoting peace and respect for human rights.

The event includes the approval of a Manifesto for Peace and a dialogue on the role of the EU in the current political situation and the preservation of European values.
