European Prize for Citizenship, Security and Defence«

The European Prize for Citizenship, Security and Defence is intended to reward particularly outstanding actions in favour of the development of European citizenship and «European security and defence awareness». The prize was awarded for the first time in 2011, under the patronage of the President of the European Council.

The Jean Monnet Association receives the award for the year 2025, in particular for its actions in favour of Ukraine and the promotion of a European Defence.

The competition is organised each year by the Association Civisme Défense Armée Nation (CiDAN), in collaboration with the European Interparliamentary Security and Defence Association, with the support of Behörden Spiegel.
