Understanding the CSDD and its future implementation in France

This webinar aims to explore potential ways of implementing the European Directive on the Duty of Vigilance (CSDD) in the French context. In particular, it will look at the role played by civil society and the social economy in the drafting, promotion and future monitoring of this legislation.

Thanks to the participation of experts, this event will provide a forum for discussion on future legal, political and practical issues relating to the CSDDD in France, as well as lessons to be learned for other Member States.

Speakers:

  • Clara Alibert (CCFD - Terre Solidaire)
  • Alix Blanchard (Sciences Po Lille)
  • Dr. Anne-Sylvie Courdier (CREDIMI, Bourgogne Europe University)
  • Prof. Clotilde Fortier (CREDIMI, Université Bourgogne Europe)
  • Anthony Ratier (ESS Forum International)

Representatives of companies and cooperatives, players in the social economy, trade unions, employers' organisations, researchers and anyone else interested are invited to take part in this event and contribute to the discussions.

This webinar is part of the European project SEDLEXcoordinated by Diesis Network. It is an opportunity to share practical experience and to feed the debate on the future implementation of the directive (if it is implemented at all).

Registration is free but compulsory, before 6 July 2025.https://hiva.kuleuven.be/en/calendar/forms/sedlex-8072025
