Yo-Wo
The day begins today in Velenje (Velenie) in Slovenia 🇸🇮 with the second meeting of the Yo-Wo (Young Workforce - Youth and Gender Equality for Europe`s Welfare) network of cities, where we will be sharing our experiences and best practice in youth projects.
Among the activities of this two-day event, we will have dialogues with local experts on the theme "What opportunities does the EU offer?" about Erasmus+ projects, EVS (European Voluntary Service), youth exchanges, among others. We will have debates with local students on European opportunities where young people will discover the importance of participating in EU policies; and each partner will explore how to implement these strategies in their municipalities or entities; and we will have street actions: "Local Europe" where we will conduct interviews with local citizens on EU youth policies.
The project partners are La Pobla Llarga Town Council (Spain), the Bulgarian Youth Association (Bulgaria), CARDET (Cyprus), the Velenje Youth Centre (Slovenia), Rhenen Town Council (Netherlands), Ujszilvas Town Council (Hungary), the Autokreakja Foundation (Poland) and the Jean Monnet Association, represented by Zacharie Schaerlinger and his vice-president Miguel Ángel Martín Ramos, in collaboration with the Yuste Foundation, strategic partner of the Jean Monnet Association, the Autokreakja Foundation (Poland) and the Jean Monnet Association, represented by Zacharie Schaerlinger and his vice-president Miguel Ángel Martín Ramos, in collaboration with the Yuste Foundation, strategic partner of the Jean Monnet Association.
The project, led by La Pobla Llarga Town Council (Spain), aims to raise awareness and reflect on youth employment in Europe and the disparities between men and women.
We continue with the working meeting of the Yo-Wo project (youth and employment), with workshops to exchange experiences on projects, policies and local initiatives aimed at young people in the municipalities represented in the project.
