The role of the EU in developing worker representation to meet new challenges and strengthen social dialogue

This study projectsupported by the European Commission, brings together prestigious research institutes including the European Institute in Florence. The project, in particular through the presence of archivists, combines a historical perspective with current challenges to anchor social issues in European policies.
The meeting on 2 September, the last stage before the presentation of the final report to the European Parliament in Brussels in November, should finalise the text with proposals for adapting the articles in the European Treaties concerning social dialogue and the role of the social partners. This work will also be a source for the work of the Third Committee for a United States of Europe, of which our Association is a founding member.
