He also served in Italy. <br>He was responsible for EU affairs and external relations at the French Permanent Representation to the EU and as Deputy Director for European Union Affairs, focusing in particular on the enlargement of the Union, the draft Constitution, justice and home affairs, and migration issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
